CV Check for applications outside academia
A CV conveys your personality, your skills and experiences. It is a document highlighting your uniqueness and specific qualities. It should be tailored to each company and position you apply for. There is no ‘one best way’ to construct a CV; it is your document and can be presented as you wish.
However, industry jobs and positions outside academia require another style, format and depth of the content that differ from an academic CV. For example, academic CVs include research interests, publications, funding awards, whereas non-academic CVs are skilled-based including analytical, interpersonal, teamwork competencies.
