Academic Career Talk - Effective Academic Applications - 14.00 - 15.00 - onside event

We at the Career Center are pleased to invite you to our upcoming Academic Career Talk (ACT) onEffective Academic Applications onJuly 9th, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. This one-hour on-site session offers the opportunity to gain firsthand insights from internal experts and to engage in lively exchange, with ample time for questions and answers. We will be joined by Prof. Liane G. Benningand Dr. Luca Malatesta, who will share their extensive knowledge and experience on how to make yourself stand out as an applicant for an academic position. Prof. Benning is the Head of Section 3.5 Interfacial Geochemistry and serves as a DFG (German Research Foundation) review board member. Dr. Malatesta is a Group Leader in section 4.7 Earth Surface Process Modelling. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about how best to showcase your scientific skills and achievements in the application process, including tips for craft an effective academic CV and cover letter.

• There is the possibility to present online information or slides in the room if you wish
• Ideally both presentations last 25-30 mins and we have 30 mins for Q&A
