Academic Career Talk - ACT (former GeoPostdocSession) - Scientific Events: How to plan an event with impact
From community building workshops to large symposia for external stakeholders, scientific events take a considerable amount of time and energy to plan and deliver. Many things need to be considered to ensure that each event is a success, such as designing an interesting program, choosing the best formats and inviting the right audience. In this ACT our experts Priv. Doz. Dr. Heidi Kreibich (Head working group, Flood Risk and Climate Adaptation, GFZ) and Dr. Dennis Höning (Postdoctoral Researcher, Long-Term Dynamics of the Earth System, PIK) will address these topics and share their experience of organising scientific events on different scales.
