Rejection is a part of academic life, just as it is part of the corporate world, and things we do every single day. How to deal with criticism and professional rejection in academic careers? How to build persistence and resilience in the face of such challenges? We are very happy that *Prof. Oliver Heidbach* and *Prof. Jens Wickert* will give insights from their own experiences and would like to discuss these questions with you all.
